This notice explains what personal data swissprecisionsuppliers.com collects, why, and how it is used, in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP / DSG).

What we collect and why
Supplier questionnaire. When a company applies, we collect the contact person’s name, function, email, and phone, plus company data (registration, certifications, capabilities, capacity, references) and certificate copies. Purpose: assessing admission, verifying claims, writing and maintaining the listing, and contacting the company about its application. Legal basis: performance of the pre-contractual and contractual relationship with the applying company.
Buyer inquiries. When a buyer contacts a listed supplier through the site, we collect the buyer’s name, organisation, email, and message and forward them to the supplier’s designated contact. We log date and organisation of each forwarded inquiry to administer the result guarantee given to suppliers. Buyer data is not sold and not used for marketing.
Email contact. Emails sent to us are stored to handle the request.
Server logs. The hosting provider records IP address, date and time, requested page, and browser type for security and error analysis. Logs are deleted after [30] days.
What is published
Company data from admitted suppliers is published on the listing, including the designated business contact for buyer inquiries (name, function, and business email or phone as agreed with the supplier). Certificate copies are never published; they are used for verification only. Listings are indexed by search engines and AI answer engines.
Processors and transfers
We use the following service providers, which process data on our behalf:
- Tally (Tally BV, Belgium) for the questionnaire and file uploads; data stored in the EU
- [Hosting provider, name and country] for hosting this site
- [Email provider, name and country] for email
Where a provider processes data outside Switzerland or the EU/EEA, this is done under standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
Retention
Questionnaire data of admitted suppliers is kept for as long as the listing exists and for 10 years afterwards where required by Swiss commercial and tax law. Data of companies that were not admitted or did not complete the process is deleted 12 months after the last contact, unless the company asks for earlier deletion. Certificate copies are deleted when the listing is removed.
Your rights
You may request information about the personal data we hold about you, its correction, or its deletion, and you may object to processing. Write to office@swissprecisionsuppliers.com. You may also contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
